We celebrated Eddie’s birthday this past weekend. It was a perfect night—fried chicken, tequila, cake, street fighter, best friends. A bunch of people texted me and it made my heart hurt a lot.

Grief is very complex. It has a thousand voices. If you ask, “what are you most sad about?” All the voices speak at once so you can’t hear the answer or do anything to help yourself. But that is a stupid question to ask anyway.

Grateful for all my friends, a gentleman, having the most photo rays on my face, guile, little joy bartenders, lord Beasley, receiving gifts on your birthday, busy work life, being held, bracelets, kids in my apartment, holding hair, what someone said about you, ai dogs, 4am.

Grateful for quiet nights, long naps, core fitness dumbbells, amazon fresh, beets, my mom, hours of tv, you all everybody 🎶.

1:45 am.

been working so much. Might have been a little bit stressful too. Nobody likes that. But we work hard and then play hard. Like murder city devils.

rode my skateboard the other night. And by night I mean 2am. Imbibe and ride. I need glasses. And younger knees.

Grateful for my editorial team, work dates, downtown livin’, money mark, robe life, milk thistle, death wish, Anjelica, Cara b, girls with phds, free shots, Sonos, Indians, law of attraction, cilta-cel, iPad Pro, quiet time, tiger balm, past lives, opportunities, smiling strangers, amazing food, tons of money, blessed life.

Went for drinks with my bestie neighbor. I’ve been working a bunch so it felt good to chat and catch up. And to be told that I deserve to relax a little bit. No one-upping or “well I’m…” this life is so healthy and pure.

the weather changed. It feels cold. My inner nostril skin is dry. Hasn’t bled in weeks though. I dressed warm in my “up the bloc” sweatshirt. I wish I could go back. My nails would bleed.

grateful for Annandale, custard, vita, stoli vanil, the nanny, Denzel Funyun, bea and cj, Easter fort crew, never forget, Friday, yacht life, Halloween baking championship, jimmy and Jenny Kimmel, mucnuggets, my family, Lenny and taz, lactose intolerance, girl so confusing, editorial, lavender energy, golden love.

a busy work week. Long hours. Lots of deliverables. Short-staffed. It is all fine—I’d choose this.

my cousin from Houston came to visit. We didn’t go to Disneyland—we just went a few blocks from my apartment to all the fun spots that I’m lucky enough to experience all the time. Happiest place on earth. The next day, he took a trip to erewhon.
