IMPROMPTU GETAWAY TO LAS VEGAS

Hi! Hope you’re having a great week so far! This week I met up with my BFF, Miki, in Las Vegas. She lives in San Francisco so the last time I saw her was just about a year ago. We spontaneously came up with the idea of a midweek meeting in Sin City for some poolside girl time and delicious food.

Since we decided to keep it mellow (ie, no clubbing, no Thunder From Down Under haha), I decided to go with an easy look with shorts and a jacket.

I posted these tiny shorts before (here) where I styled them with tights, but since we’re talkin’ Vegas here…I ditched the tights and wasn’t afraid to show some skin.

I have mixed feelings about this Forever 21 jacket that I just got on clearance. We all know you get what you pay for with F21. The faux leather is thin, and the lapel kept flipping over and wouldn’t stay put.

But I used a piece of my baggage claim tag and taped the lapel down. All was fine!

I must say I love the crochet-back design.

These are the first pair of Christian Louboutins I ever purchased. They are slightly lower than my other heels and the bright pinkish rose color has been perfect for wear throughout the years.

These Pigalles are only 85mm. My other heels are 100mm, which are the right height for me. 120mm gets to be a bit too high and hard for me to walk in.
