I have been having over-the-knee boot envy for the past couple years now. I never thought they were right for me though, maybe because of my volatile history with boots (love them one day, not so much the next day), my short stature, or maybe because I thought they made too big of a statement for my mainly laidback style. But this year I was inspired by so many fabulous bloggers and decided to give it a go:
A striped, sheer split-back top layered over a chiffon floral tank tunic.
While the shoe snob in me really wanted to cozy up in a pair of Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots, I just couldn’t make peace with the $800 price tag on something that I might not absolutely love. These cost-savvy faux suede alternatives (Lowland dupes) from Choies are super warm and the fit over my calves and knees is just right.
No slippage at all thanks to the back laces.
You know I have a bad habit of buying the same shoes in different colors…I might get these in gray too.
Kind of glad I went out of my comfort zone with these OTK boots. Now I just need to do something about my out-of-control hair!
